Channel Recorder for Windows95
Thank you for evaluating our recording software SW01.
To run the software you will need Windows 95, a soundcard and a audio feed to your soundcard
(such as a microphone or telephone audio interface.)
To use this software for telephone recording you'll need one of our telephone to PC soundcard adapters.
They are high quality and isolated from the telephone line. If you do not use an isolated audio tap
there will be a ground loop on the line and calls will produce an audible and annoying hum.
Features of this software package are:
* Time/date stamped windows compatible audio files
* High capacity recording using PC's hard disc
* Variable quality from telephone quality to CD stereo
* Automated recording of conversations using VOX/time/external trigger
* Manual over-ride if needed
* Network compatible
* Remote storage of files option
The evaluation version is limited to recording length and quality, and also will voice activate only once.
We can supply telephone and microphone interfaces and multi-line ( 2-4+ lines ) recording solutions as
well in hardware or software.
To install the software
If you are installing from the internet, download then extract the files to a floppy or temporary directory
on your hard-disc. To install the software from floppy disc run a:/setup.exe. All files will usually be put
in c:\crec32\ and the programs will appear on your start menu under " Channel Recorder " . The installation
program will install the following programs to your hard-disk.
* Chanplay.exe the playback software
* ChanlDemo.exe the recording software
* Setup.exe the setup program
You can select which soundcard and which audio format to use, the setup program will ask you which function
you wish i.e.
* Voice activated recording (Vox)
* Timer Mode ( one set time period per day to record i.e. 9am to 5pm)
* Telephone Mode
* Manual Mode
See the "users guide document" for more details.
To playback files you can double click on them or use our playback software which provides time and date
information.
By right clicking the wav file and going into properties you also get time-stamped data and it shows
details of any text included with the file.
